Everybody needs a Little Joy

Hello Folks! I am Licia Lucas-Pfadt, a ceramic artist established in Montana since 2000. I recently had to relocate to Pennsylvania. I haven't been able to work since December 2023 when I packed up my studio and moved it with me to Pennsylvania. I do not yet have a place to work but have a big vision of turning my garage into a pottery studio where I will make, teach and sell my work. Some of you might remember me from Grey Cliffs Ranch where I was the on-site artist for 17 years. I went by Shady Grove Pottery. No longer having a place to live in Montana and living independently now, my little Cinna dog and I moved back to where I grew up in Pennsylvania. I was able to buy a little old farm house near my mum. My garage needs a lot of work because all it is now is a dirt floor, concrete block walls and a roof. I plan to use my studio like I did my studio in Montana, offering lessons and a creative space to my new community. I will also use the space for my own work and sales. Stage One Building will include electricity, water, concrete floor, door and window, insulation, heat and a side over hang where I will build a kiln. Stage Two Build will include building the kiln and buying some throwing wheels for teaching classes. It really all depends on what kind of financial support I can foster. I will also be applying for grants to help supplement my vision. I kindly ask if you have ever been inspired by my pottery that you help me continue my work by giving a little.
