Hello everyone, most of you know me through the different fundraising events that I do. Well this one touches close to home. My employee and great friend, Amber Trudeau's son Jonas, who also works for me, went fishing with his friends. He wasn't doing anything crazy just hanging out like a normal teenager, fishing with his friends, being outside not sitting around gaming.
His best friends 3 pronged fishing lure got caught in a tree, like all fisherman you pull til it comes loose. Well it did, it wrapped around Jonas and flew into his eyeball and eyelid. They called 911, took him to Valdese Hospital who immediately said he needs to go Baptist right now.
He was transported to Baptist, he had to lay there 12 hours with the hook still in his eye, they operated removed the fish hooks, and was in there for 3 days, but has had to go back 5 more times since , 2 of them for extra surgeries. He is doing better, but still has a way to go, but still has to go for weekly lens scrapings for several more weeks to make sure bacteria from the fishing lure doesn't infect the lens anymore than the fish hooks damage has done already.
In a nutshell I am asking for your help, Amber would do anything for anyone , but would do EVERYTHING to protect and help her children. As a parent you must know how hard it is to see your child laying there in pain.
