Lise's L.E.G.A.C.Y.

My name is Elise Sampson, affectionately known as “Lise”. I am a sophomore student at Spelman College, currently drafting my campaign for Vice President of the Spelman Student Government Association. My platform for this campaign is “Lise’s LEGACY” (Leverage, Engagement, Growth, Advocacy, Community, and YOU). This platform - ‘Lise’s Legacy’ is about the story that remains far beyond my physical time at Spelman. In my hometown, I had the opportunity to spearhead many initiatives centered around student Advocacy, Engagement, and Community. These initiatives, in turn, resulted in new opportunities for students who historically did not have a seat at the table. Legacy, to me, means invoking long-lasting change that honors those who came before you, while paving the way for those who come after you. In my brief time at Spelman, I have begun shaping my legacy and impact, creating space for students to be a part of the conversations that affect our lives on and off campus.

As a trailblazer, my commitment is to foster tangible community impact and enact enduring change at every turn. With your invaluable support, I will have the opportunity to further my mission of shaping a brighter future not only for myself but also for my peers and the generations that follow.
