PECK BRONZE MEMORIAL

Through the generosity of an anonymous donor your donation will be matched dollar for dollar up to $25,000. This fundraising drive will go towards the completion of the Peck Bronze Memorial by world class sculptor Benjamin Victor. 

Shown here is conceptual art of the finished bronze. We have invested over $100K to date in restoring and preserving the Peck Legacy. We have completed many projects (see the attached Flyers for details) The free standing Bronze has been created at 150% scale and is now at the clay stage of production ready for mold casting.

Our Mission & Purpose.

We are a voluntary group of former students, alumni and friends of Dr. Peck. We have formed this non profit to revive and cement his legacy. He changed students' lives over nearly four decades during his service as Art Department Chair of what is now Boise State University. We are not sponsored or supported in any way by Boise State. It is our intention to gift this memorial honoring Dr. Peck and his legacy to Boise State University when completed.

Starting in late 2019 we have done everything we could to pull his legacy out of the campus dust bin and revive and cement his rightful place in Boise State history. Please read the attached flyers for more information about the Legacy of Dr. Louis Peck. Also see the Dr. Peck Legacy Collection on virtual display at the Keith & Catherine Stein Luminary located in the Center for Visual Arts (CVA) building on the Boise State University campus near Capitol Boulevard.

We Need Your Support!

Boise State University has hundreds of millions of dollars and are asking for more at this time. We wish them well. We do not have those resources nor are we asking them for support. We are appealing to alumni, former students, friends and patrons of the arts everywhere to rise in support of the arts by backing this permanent and tangible memorial to a life well spent in promoting, practicing and teaching art as a viable and worthy avocation. This memorial is a visible reminder to the importance of the arts in our culture. Honoring this distinguished art professor serves as an inspiration for past, present and future generations
