Giovanni's family needs our support to help his 14-year-old daughter, Kylie, receive medical care for a brain tumor. They need to raise $30,000 BZD for medical treatment in Guatemala. Giovanni is one of our groundsmen at the Blue Tang. His 14-year-old daughter began feeling ill, not eating, losing weight and ultimately started to have seizures which caused her to be flown to Belize City where she was diagnosed with a brain tumor.

She needs to have brain surgery to remove the tumor which can be performed in Guatemala City and Giovanni told us they need $25,000. To date we have raised $8,000 USD. The owners of Blue Tang Inn have met a physician couple who come to Belize several times a year to help train ER doctors in Belize City. They have been in contact with Kylie Moh’s doctors and think most likely that she has a craniopharyngioma - which is more curable and has a good prognosis with surgery.

This is the background on Kylie’s medical diagnosis and prognosis. She has a will to live - is eating now and trying to gain back strength so she can endure the travel and surgery - we hope this will happen this next month.

Kylie is the apple of Giovanni’s eye. The only way the local people have of asking for aid for medical expenses is to ask for donations at Central Park in town. Giovanni is a wonderful staff person at Blue Tang Inn, always greeting guests with a smile and willingness to help out. He thanks each of you for your support of his treasured daughter.

If you prefer a tax deductible donation, here are the details for Giovanni's daughter's donations that are to World at Work and are tax deductible.

There are several ways donors can choose to send donations- via check (preferred) made out to "The Word at Work" to the office address 1400 Wolflin Ave, Amarillo, TX 79109. Or on the website at twaw.org by clicking the donate now button. Please indicate in the comments of your donation that this is for Kylie Moh/ Blue Tang Inn Belize.

Thanks for all of your generosity!
