Update #3

The generosity of those in our community is one of the many reasons this place is such a great place to live. We reached our goal of $750 in less than 72 hours for our Banner Replacement Project!

This was Main Street Greenville's first crowdfunding campaign. Crowdfunding creates an online platform for those in the community to donate quickly and easily to projects they care about, allowing them to be a part of the positive changes that organizations or individuals are doing for the community.

Thank you to everyone who donated to this project:

Help us showcase our Darke County Pride!

Main Street Greenville started the Downtown Banner Program in 2007. This program allows for fresh, vibrant, and relevant designs for the banners that line our historic district and the traffic circle.

The new banners will feature paintings of Darke County Landmarks, created by the Greenville High School Senior Career Art Students! See the photo gallery for the 10 different designs.

We need to raise a total of $2,500 for this project. At this time, we have already received the following funds:

  • Greenville Rotary: $500
  • Darke Rural Electric Grant: $750
  • Darke County Visitor Bureau Partnership: $500

We are thankful for all of the contributions we have received thus far for this project! As of now, we need $750 to complete this project.

The banners will have an expected lifespan of 4-5 years.

The students chose which Darke County Landmarks they wanted to paint. We appreciate them sharing their talents for this project:

  • The Great Darke County Fair - painted by Haley Barton
  • Historic Bear's Mill - painted by Morgan Kiser
  • The Garst Museum - painted by Anne Bradfield
  • Annie Oakley Statue - painted by Alyssa Baumgardner
  • The Circle - painted by Chelsea Hawes
  • The Maid-Rite Sandwich Shoppe - painted by Bree Beisner
  • The Palace Building - painted by Zoe Stiefel
  • Swinging Bridge - painted by Cory Campbell
  • Darke County Courthouse - painted by Alison Helfrich
  • St. Clair Memorial Hall - painted by Olivia Wysong

Every donation helps, thank you for helping us complete this project!
