Hello, my name is Mary and I am from Ohio. In 2021, while vacationing in the United States with my sister, I was in a terrible car accident. I was 56 years old at the time and we were having a fun-filled vacation in Florida. We were driving a car with an American driver, enjoying the nice Florida weather when we were rear ended. We didn't know exactly what happened when all of a sudden the car turned 360 degrees and the whole window shattered. My life flashed before my eyes. It all happened very fast and before I knew what was happening the police were there. Police assessed the scene and said the driver of the car that rear-ended us hit us and fled. It was a hit and run and they couldn't find the driver. They asked us if we needed to go to the hospital in an ambulance. We said no as the other driver had to pay because it was his fault but he couldn't be found. The police agreed and took us back to our hotel. We stayed the rest of the day at the hotel and regrouped and tried to put the pieces together and get back to our vacation. The next day I woke up, I realized that I was very hurt. My head and back hurt a lot; and my vision was blurry. We decided to go to the hospital and seek help. They took care of us and we went back to the hotel that day. Then they found the driver, and he didn't have insurance, so he hit us and ran away. I have received no compensation for this accident and it has affected my life every day since. I still have terrible back pain 9 years later and sometimes I can't get out of bed. I have PTSD from the accident and a lot of anxiety as I relive the accident in my head. I need money to get treatment for my back and therapy to help me deal with the accident. I can't work because the pain is so debilitating. The vacation of his life became the nightmare of his life. Please help me as I want to get over this and get back to normal and live my life. I don't know who to turn to because I need help with my medical problems. I would surely appreciate any help and would be very grateful.
