Hi everyone. I leave for Africa in the morning. This fundraising page will remain open to accept donations for crew fees and incidentals.

Dear Friends,

As many of you know, my lifelong goals are to achieve my nursing degree and continue mission work.  With that in mind, I discovered the amazing mission-oriented non-profit organization, Africa Mercy Ships ( www.mercyships.org/ships/africa-mercy/ ), and I am beginning my path to global service.

This summer, I plan to spend over two months volunteering on the Africa Mercy Ship.  The Africa Mercy is the world’s largest charity hospital ship.  The Mercy Ship is a floating hospital, which includes five state-of-the-art operating rooms, as well as intensive care and ward bed space for up to 82 patients. While I am there, my service will be in support of the medical missions.

It has been my dream to travel and help create a better world and this is my moment to do just that. Through Mercy Ship's program, I will contribute to Mercy Ship’s mission of providing healthcare to people that would otherwise have no healthcare.  I will start out in the Congo on May 17th and will end up on the Mercy Ship in the Canary Islands.

Life is full of beautiful opportunities and sometimes the only thing standing in our way is the financial obligation.  With that being said, I am asking you to consider helping me by donating to my mission trip fund.  All monetary donations are tax deductible and will be going toward my mission program fees which include the following:

  • Airfare
  • lodging and meals
  • ground transportation
  • travel medical insurance

If my mission trip is something you would like to support, you can do so by donating either on this website, Paypal or by check to me.  If you have any questions about my mission or the organization itself, feel free to email me at: [email protected] or to visit the Africa Mercy Ship website: www.mercyships.org/ships/africa-mercy/

Any donation you contribute puts me that much closer to making my dreams come true as I embark on my journey for social change and global service.

Thank you,
