Appalachian Trail Section Hike for Recent Graduate

From Lindsey Lytle

I am raising money to support my Appalachian Trail Section hike! Hitting the trail less than a month after graduating with little money to my name. Support this life changing trip and change the trajectory of my life!

Hello! My name is Lindsey, I'm graduating in May with a B.S in Environmental Studies from St. Bonaventure University. As a lover of nature, what a better time or opportunity for me to fall in love with the trail than right now? No home, no job, just the endless possibilities of what the trail can bring to my life. I know this trip will change my life for the better and I am so very excited to get going.

However, my four years at Bonas was spent as a student-athlete with minimal time to work and accrue funds into savings. All four years I was a full-time student-athlete juggling up to two jobs, one of which at a soup kitchen which I hold close to my heart. Because of these obligations as well as coming from a low income family, I've had to buy all my gear using my savings over these last 4 years. With your generous support, you would be funding a nature-loving young woman eager to influence her life and outlook in this formative time for the better with the experience of a life-time! These donations would go directly towards feeding me along the trail as well as helping me afford the necessary supplies needed to survive a thru-hike.

I'll be heading on the Appalachian Trail at the halfway point, Pine Grove Furnace, on May 28th. My first goal is to get to a month on the trail and my ultimate goal being to make it to Maine! Any piece of support from you would mean such a difference in my life, not only on the trail but beyond.
