ASAT & Kettlebells 4 Autism

The mission of Kettlebells 4 Autism (KB4A) is to support not-for-profit organizations devoted to autism research, treatment, and/or the delivery of evidence-based practices to those affected by Autism Spectrum Disorders. Kettlebells 4 Autism identified the Association for Science in Autism Treatment (ASAT) as an organization that shares a similar mission and offered to raise funds in their annual KB4A Fundraising Event to support ASAT's cause.ASAT is a not-for-profit organization of parents and professionals committed to improving the education, treatment, and care of people with autism. Its board of directors and advisory board are comprised of parents/siblings of individuals with autism and highly trained professionals and practitioners working in multiple disciplines, such as pediatricians, scientists, academicians, clinicians, educators, speech therapists, and financial experts. ASAT also has dozens of additional volunteers who work tirelessly to support its mission.Help ASAT disseminate accurate, science-based treatment information with your donation today! Your donations will be used to:

• Expand coverage of genetics, epidemiology, assessment, and biologically based treatment issues.
• Expand ASAT's presence internationally to reach global communities and families who have little support for evidence-based autism treatment;
• Widen ASAT's impact on the media’s portrayal of autism and its treatment by creating materials to disseminate to journalists about effective autism treatments and appropriate ways to communicate with a global audience; and
• Continue efforts to focus on evaluating efficacy of and disseminating information about treatment and services across the lifespan.

Please note that ASAT will provide receipts for tax purposes. To participate and fundraise for this event:

• Select "Make A Donation", "Become a Supporter", or "Become a Fundraiser" (located to the right in the middle of this screen).
• If you select "Become a Fundraiser", you can create your own fundraising page and post your goals, track the funds you've raised, and allow others to send you messages of support.
• Visit the KB4A website to choose a workout, devoting 90 seconds of work in honor of autism awareness.
• Complete the workout before May 5, 2014. You may post your results or add a video as proof of completion.
