2023 began with a vision to fight for restoring hope in whatever dreams/goals my boys and I had petitioned before God...but who knew that a couple of months into the New Year that I would be fighting and petitioning to retain primary custody of my oldest son. My baby.
Anyone that knows me and Rayden well knows that we share a special bond and I love him with every inch of my body, my soul, and with every beat of my heart. I could go on and on! The feeling I feel right now has my spirit troubled and I am restless at night being faced with this petition filed by his father (one who has never been the consistent or supportive parent Rayden deserves) 7 years later?!
As I have always believed, God is the one who fights my battles and this battle is another to be won, but I do realize I need both God and proper legal representation for this type of fight. To have my case represented well, I will need to hire a Family Law attorney with a tactical plan of action to file a counter-petition to keep primary custody of my son. As a mother, facing this is heartbreaking and is something I do not deserve. This petition is so left-field and random. It is quite an inconsiderate interruption to me, Rayden, and Rosaiah's peaceful life and an unplanned expense at that.
As Rayden's mother, I have always supported him in a nurturing, supportive, and healthy environment from the moment I carried him in my womb to the time I gave birth on May 19th, 2015 at 1:41 PM and nothing has changed! I became a single parent in the delivery room awaiting his arrival so it is no surprise why we have been inseparable ever since.
My baby is a gift to this world and God's reminder that his blessings are abundant. My boys keep me going and are such blessings to my life. I thank God every moment of the day for blessing me with the most important role on Earth, being their mother.
When Rayden was born, I made a promise to his 5'11oz precious self that no matter how big he was, I would ALWAYS take care of him and protect him at ALL costs! Nearly 8 years later...Today is no different and under these time-sensitive circumstances, I am under the pressure to request financial help from friends, family, and associates to help me retain a lawyer in Nashville to protect Rayden. This is unfair to me but most of all Rayden. Please find it in your heart to help us. Thank you for your generosity and sincere thoughts during our time of need.
