I have experienced complete loss of everything. I didn't know a single soul. I had no family left. I had no one. I had nothing. An older gentleman came up to me and asked if he could pray for me. After the prayer he asked if I needed anything. I told him no. He offered me socks, water, his phone number, a tent, and blankets. Fuel for a little heater in my tent, food for my feral cat I had acquired. Even gave me rides to the local food pantries around town.What he really gave me was a small piece of mind. As the weeks went by he offered to take me to church. The time and money he spent on me was a great blessing. I wasn't the only one he did this for. After about 10 months went by I had come to realize he had about 15-20 people he did this for. This isn't including the random people who came and got bus tickets, and other necessities. Anyone could ask for almost anything except for cash money and he would go get it right then. He's 74 years old and getting ready to hang up his boots, North Augusta needs someone like him to look out for the less fortunate still out there in need. I don't have a retirement, a pension, stocks&bonds, or negligent claims settlements to keep his legacy active. With substance abuse and homelessness on the rise, People still need to be loved and shown compassion. Please, won't you give what your hearts are wanting and your bank accounts will allow. Your funds will be used to provide those with urgent needs. Please help me help them as Mike Toole helped so many of us. Thank you
