I support habitat because I believe everyone should have the opportunity for home ownership and not just in a safe place to live but also a financially smart investment. I believe the system that habitat has in place to help individuals prepare for homeownership has been proven effective over the years and the money that is donated to help build these houses is spent in a responsible manner through these programs.
Habitat has teamed up with group of “Celebrity Sous Chefs” who will work with local culinary experts and show off their own talents. Our "Celebrity Sous Chefs" are both eager and enthusiastic movers and shakers of the community who share Habitat’s values, and have a competitive spirit. Sous Chefs will be taught a skill by a local professional chef and will participate in a competition to test who has mastered their new technique the best.
In addition to our friendly kitchen competition, all Sous Chefs are asked to raise money in support of the event, and Habitat’s mission to eliminate substandard housing. Each winner of this two-part challenge will be named on the night of the gala.
