Clean Up Bali's Sacred Waterfalls

Clean Up Bali's Sacred Waterfalls

From Barbi Sama

The intensity of this year's wet season has sadly seen a lot of plastics end up in one of the most pristine locations in north Bali. Please help support a clean up on Sunday March 21st with local villagers & children!

The Sekumpul waterfalls in North Bali are fed by natural springs and are located amidst mountains that feeds lush green forest. Each time we have been there we have been so grateful for the pristine nature. A few weeks ago, visiting this sacred place, we were sad to see so much rubbish carried into the waterfall areas by heavy rains over this monsoon season. We would like to give back by organising a clean up day with local villagers & children. Funds will help us feed the children on the clean-up day and hire local helpers (to bring the rubbish up a very steep valley!). We would also like to hire someone locally to help with education outreach to try prevent more rubbish ending up in these rivers. Please help us to reach our modest goal - there are even a few "perks" available for higher givers.

If you are in Bali and would like to come with us on Sunday March 21st..... please get in touch privately.

(Look out too for a small-group nature trip we are organising in April 2021 in this area).

Much love ~ Barbi and Lucas
