Clubhouse For A Youth Group

The few photos I have included below and the two videos I displayed at the top of the campaign page are only a few small glimpses into this youth group that I hold so near and dear to my heart. Peace Youth is what we call our youth group located at a Methodist church in Orlando, Florida. We meet almost every Sunday of the school year for dinner, games, a service, and quality time, and during the year we go on a total of three separate mission trips where we volunteer for an entire week.

I have been a part of this youth group since my 8th-grade year, and it truly has changed my life. I love not only all the people and the friends I have made but also what the group stands for and all the great service I have gotten to do through it. This year I am in my senior year of high school and am heartbroken that I will soon be leaving this group. It was during a conversation with my pastor who asked me "What do you want to leave behind with this group?" when I got the idea for this project.

If there's one thing I find most important about this group, it's the community it builds. I've seen life long friendships being made, and we spend time together in a way that many kids our age do not get the opportunity for. It's something I want to make sure does not fade away after I leave which is why I came up with the idea of a Youth Club House.

The funds for this project would go towards building a small building (out of a repurposed shed) that would reside in the back of our church, where students could go and hang out and just spend time together. We often do small group hangouts and discussions so this would be the perfect place for this to take place.

I hope to make this a surprise for the kids in the youth group and if I meet my goal, will reveal this project to them at the end of the school year, around May.

Any amount of money would be helpful, and every single donor (no matter what amount donated) would receive a thank you card from the members of this group. I cannot express exactly how much this group and this project means to me, and I hope we can have your help!
