I'm raising money for my business concept. It's a coffee brand and steampunk themed coffee shop. I've been a coffee industry professional since 2013 and my passion for it only grows by the day.

Greetings!
My name is Chadwick and I currently reside in southwestern Connecticut, USA where I study Medical Coding at Charter Oak State College. I've been a passionate coffee industry professional since 2013 and with each passing day, the passion only grows. This project has two parts that I've broken down into goals. This type of fundraising is new to me and so I'm intentionally keeping my expectations low. But, I have nothing to lose but my dignity, so here goes. Hahahahaha!
PROBLEMS TO SOLVE: Specialty grade coffee is too expensive. Starbucks coffee is too strong/bitter. Dunkin' Donuts coffee is too weak/watery.
CONSIDER THIS: I care far more about selling GOOD coffee at AFFORDABLE prices than I do about becoming rich. In fact, in an ideal world, charity/philanthropy would be one of our biggest expenses (but, we'll talk more about that later).
GOAL #1: To create my own brand of coffee. In the grand scheme of things, this is the easiest and least expensive part of my dream. I have a coffee roaster out in California that will make me (and my customers) some roast-to-order coffee in brand packaging of my design and Shopify is able to host a website appropriate storefront (virtual) until I can complete goal #2 for less than $45 per month. The cutting edge here is that the coffee would be roasted to order (not in large batches that sit around in a warehouse) and so I would be able to communicate via e-mail with the staff during production. This is a very rare and unique quality that will allow me to provide a high quality product while delivering superior customer service. Additionally, our coffee will be specialty grade for commercial grade prices. I'll produce coffee at American working prices, for the American worker, because that's who I am and that's who I care about.GOAL #2: To open my own steampunk themed coffee shop. Why steampunk? There are a few reasons for that. 1.) People take steam for granted. Without steam, espresso machines would not function. That means - no lattes, no cappuccinos, no macchiatos, et cetera. I have yet to come across a steampunk-themed coffee shop in my area, despite steam itself being a vital component of coffee service and so I've decided to center my brand around paying homage to the unsung hero of the coffee industry. 2.) In addition to steampunk being a valuable way to honor the production of coffee beverages, it's also aesthetically pleasing and I know several artists who would jump at the opportunity to create pieces for my novel/avant garde concept. Despite the term "steampunk" coming about in the 1980's, the style has been around since the Victorian Era (1837 - 1901), and I just love everything about it and that. Since I used to be an actor and a vocalist, the cafe will feature a stage for performers that specialize in song, poetry, and other events of historical significance. When I draw out what I have in my mind, I'll post the rough drafts here. Of course, the final cafe design will depend on the location and space available.
HOW THE FUNDS WILL BE USED: Listing them all out here would make this a terribly painful read. I'll always willing to share that information with my donors, though. Just send me an e-mail and I'll address it that way.
PHILANTHROPY & CHARITY: The late, great Dawn Marie Grace (my beloved darling angel mother) passed away in October 2012 from a liver disease. With that said, I would not feel comfortable if worthwhile organizations like The American Liver Foundation and The American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases weren't major parts of my company's charitable giving. However, I must note that none of the funds raised here would go to either of those causes. Just know that you can expect my company to support those and others if/when we open our doors to the general public.
Thank you very kindly for taking the time to read this tiring post. If you've made it to the end, there may be a chance that you care about my ideas as much as I do. And if you really do, please consider sharing my fundraising effort or donating whatever you can. I would greatly appreciate it. And of course, as always, feel free to contact me with any questions.
Sincerely yours,
Chadwick
