Coronavirus in the Democratic Republic of the Congo - Personal protective equipment for emergencies at the Kinshasa General Reference Hospital

The Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) - a country where more than 70% of the population lives in extreme poverty and whose health system is fragile and under-equipped - must face the COVID-19 pandemic while DRC has not yet fully emerged from an Ebola epidemic that has claimed thousands of lives.

The Kinshasa General Reference Hospital (HGRK), the largest public hospital in the DRC, is not equipped to protect patients and health professionals during consultations and care in the event that a person presents with signs of COVID-19 infection or does suffer from it.

Thus, we, a group of doctors trained in the DRC, have come together to organize this fundraiser, in order to provide personal protective equipment to the Kinshasa General Reference Hospital.

YOUR CONTRIBUTION, WHATEVER THE AMOUNT, WILL HELP TO SAVE LIVES IN DRC AND TO SUPPORT THE JOINT EFFORT THAT IS ESSENTIAL AGAINST THE COVID-19 .

We thank you in advance for your contribution.
