More Info

In our fourth year, we renamed our scholarship fund after Oren Miller, a beloved and revered dad blogger friend who died of lung cancer on February 28, 2015.

We created this fund so that those who have received much from their Dad 2.0 Summit experiences can pay it forward, providing assistance to first-time attendees. Each designee receives a $500 “Miller Grant” to help offset travel and lodging costs, as well as a free conference ticket.

In just four years, our generous community has helped 51 dads attend a Dad 2.0 Summit!

More about Oren Miller

Other than his family, Oren’s greatest passion was ensuring that every father’s voice is heard, regardless of their platform, popularity, or audience size.

In 2013, Oren took his passion one step further by starting the Dad Bloggers Facebook group. The group served to connect many of the dads Oren had met online, and quickly evolved beyond its more practical purposes of discussing blogging and social media to a place where fathers could find and provide parenting advice, emotional support, and genuine friendship.

The group functions in tandem with Dad 2.0, serving as a place to continue in-person conversations and relationships begun at the Summits, as well as generate interest for new attendees.
