About The Team

Telling stories in the metro Detroit area is truly an honor and a dream come true. My hometown is Grand Rapids, Michigan, so I am thrilled to be reporting the news in my home state.

I was born and raised by a single mother, who worked hard to teach me kindness and respect while fighting for what I believe in.

It was my mother who convinced me to become a journalist. She helped me work my way through college at Columbia College Chicago, where I majored in journalism with a concentration in broadcast journalism and a minor in public relations. During my time in Chicago, I interned at ABC7-WLS as part of their news planning department.

My career has kept me moving throughout the Midwest. I started at WLIO in Lima, Ohio, and then traveled an hour north to WTOL in Toledo, Ohio. Those early days as a multimedia journalist taught me a lot about myself and the world!

My career then took me out west to KSHB in Kansas City, Missouri. My most memorable story is the disappearances of both Kara Kopetsky and Jessica Runions.

When I am not reporting the news, I enjoy spending time with friends and family or reading a good book. In the summer, I make it a point to spend as much time as I can in west and northern Michigan. In the fall, it’s all about Michigan football, go blue!

Here at Dancing with the Michigan Stars, our mission is to combine our love of dance with community outreach. For the past five years we have been reaching out to our community via our DWTMS fundraising event, through which we donate the proceeds to a local charity. With this year’s format we are going to share the love with an ultimate dance off with funds going to dancer’s choice of organization. The top 2 winners of the night, People’s Choice and Judge’s Choice, will receive a portion of the proceeds from the night as a bonus donation from Dancing with the Michigan Stars to their chosen charity.

Tickets can be purchased HERE!
