From Nicole Howard

I am helping our 5th grade students fundraise for admission and transportation costs for their field trip to the California Academy of Sciences in San Francisco, California.

More Info

Our students are very excited about this field trip because they have been studying the Earth's Systems, Space Systems, and Engineering Design, which fulfills part of our Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS). However, many of our families do not have the financial means to pay for their children's field trips.

I teach at a Title 1 School in Sacramento, California, where the majority of students qualify for the free breakfast and lunch. Our classrooms are quite diverse and the challenges they face are just as diverse. Despite those challenges, these students come to school every day, curious, and excited to learn.

At the academy, they will learn about marine life at the Steinhart Aquarium, discover the "Motions of the Solar System" at the Morrison Planetarium, step in the world of the Osher Rainforest, and experience the rolling hills and fields on the Living Roof on the top of the Academy. Please consider donating or spreading the word to donate to this cause to give these students an unforgettable experience!

Thank you for your time and consideration,

Nicole Howard
