I was personally involved as a victim of Domestic Violence
I was not prepared for my bank accounts striped leaving my home, my clothes and personal property destroyed. Lack of proper assistance with law enforcement. I wish to develop a program app that can confidentially assist a victim and their children to find housing that is not disclosed for longer term. DV shelters are days and this is so inadequate! I wish to work with shelters, hotels/motels home owners renters to keep victims safe.
In my situation I left with that clothes I had, very little money and was stalked for months.
Restraining orders, orders of protection were as worthless as the paper they are written on. I had no help to start again.
I want to also work with government as the funding is not making a difference to real situations and safety from continued abuse and violence.
