My goal to raise money to hopefully pay off or significantly pay down our mortgage, as well as, set up college funds for my two children. With the economy the way it is I don’t know what else to do.

My name is Mikel, I am the proud father of two beautiful girls Ridley and Riley, and married to the love of my life Joylyn.
I am currently active duty military, and my wife manages a coffee shop. I also am attempting to get a metal fabrication business going as well which will hopefully be my retirement plan after the military.
My entire adult life all I have wanted was to provide a stable home for my family and with the way the world is going it’s becoming increasingly more difficult. I have never asked for help, however, after having children I will happily put my pride aside if it means my family will always have a home.
Our whole lives we are taught you go to school then you either go to college or find a job. Work until you’re in your 60s. Then maybe then you can retire and possibly enjoy the remaining 15 to 20 years of your life. At that point though your kids are all graduated and gone. You and your significant other are older and much less capable. Really the impactful years of your life are gone spent breaking your back for someone else.
All I wish for is to be able to retire from the Military at my 20 year mark and be able to comfortably live off my pension with my family. Unfortunately with the way mortgages and other things have become it’s no longer possible.
Anything helps my goal is pay off my house which is $850,000 and potentially start college funds for the girls.
