I am a Political Science major, with an emphasis in Public Service student at the University of California, Riverside. I am the youngest of three siblings and a daughter of two immigrant parents. As a first-generation college student, there has been a heavy burden on my shoulders throughout my entire college experience. My whole life my parents have stressed the importance of a college education. Luckily, my goal has always been to gain a college education but, it did not look the way my parents may have expected. I began my college experience right after high school at the California State University of Los Angeles, as a Criminal Justice major.
