We are raising money for the team of doctors at Children's National Medical Center in Washington D.C. that are doing research to find a cause and cure for 4H Syndrome - a rare leukodystrophy.

As many of you know, our daughter Jill has been diagnosed with an extremely rare leukodystrophy called 4H Syndrome. Rather than inundate you with unpronounceable medical terms – it is a disease of the brain that directly effects your motor functions. Similar to MS or ALS – it is a gradual process which can be slow or rapid. Presently there are only about 150 cases of 4H Syndrome worldwide. Which is why I feel it is important to have this benefit. There are no Federal grants or big-time charities that fund this research. The money that is raised will go directly to the team of doctors at Children's National Medical Center in Washington D.C. for 4H research. Our family met with these doctors in 2014 - and they are committed to finding the cause - and a cure - for this dreadful disease. We also had the pleasure of meeting other families who have children with 4H in various stages - and there is nothing I would rather do than help these kids.
