Hello everyone.
I have some very sad news to share.
Laine sent me a message early this morning to share that Mimi did not make it, and passed away last night. I have ended the Fundly so that she can use the money that you all helped to raise sooner rather than later.
I know that Laine appreciates all your help and support during this very tough time. At least we know our efforts can help make the financial burden she has a little easier to bear. I know that if I was in her shoes, that's how I would feel. Thank you all again for your generosity.
I will be sending her a card and flowers and will include everyone's name so that she can thank you herself, as well.
And don't forget to give your fur babies a lot of extra love today.

Anyone who knows Laine is aware that her pups are more than just her fur babies. They are rescues that have also rescued her, giving her daily joy and so much love. After the loss of her elderly pup, Moo, she was heartbroken. It seems unthinkable that she's now dealing with this hardship following an unexpected attack by a large dog. These two small chihuahuas both have emergency vet bills, but Mimi suffered a very bad injury and the bill is pretty high. Laine did not ask for help but I know we have a wonderful community of people who love and care about her, and it is my hope to encourage a show of support, be it an encouraging message on social media, a text, or a small donation to help with the emergency care. Laine has been there to support all of us through words and stories shared. Now let us be there for her :)
