The mission of Cooper's Crossroad is to raise awareness of the profound and insidious effects of trauma by offering seminars, workshops, lectures, and retreats to those interested in becoming educated on its impact and available cutting edge treatment.  We are a non-profit organization set upon 100 pristine acres of farmland, surrounded by nature's beauty, including horses, cows, dogs, and mountain views. The programs offered by Cooper's Crossroad cover various fields ranging from mental health, childhood development, pastoral care, community leaders, and beyond. Anyone interested in learning about the effects of trauma and available treatments is encouraged to participate. The goal is to educate individuals that will bring their new learned awareness back to their own communities. Cooper's Crossroad cannot melt the myth of trauma alone. Our program is a jumping off place to touch the lives of many.

The Farming for Resilience ( FFR) Program consists of Equine Facilitated Learning with additional farm exploration such as gardening, hay production and harvesting, interaction with farm animals and activities derived from the Jesse Lewis Choose Love Enrichment Program ™. Since the program’s inception in 2018, we have continued to add schools to the roster, bringing in selected students for an exciting weekly extended learning opportunity. The Choose Love Curriculum, pioneered by Scarlett Lewis, is used during our FFR hour. Through the weekly study of four important character values: courage + gratitude + forgiveness + compassion in action, educators and their students will have the opportunity to choose love in any situation. They will become empowered and equipped with skills and tools to guide them through life’s trials and enable them to have healthier relationships, become self-governing and have an overall better quality of life.
