More Info

Whether it's adjusting to life on their own or managing class workloads, college students face many stressors. Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) helps thousands of students each year address those issues, as well as stress management, sexual assault, substance abuse and much more.

The importance of CAPS cannot be understated. Consider these statistics:

  • Last year alone, there were nearly 23,000 student visits to CAPS
  • CAPS services are being utilized nearly 20% more this year

Every IU student can visit CAPS twice per semester without a visit fee. However more students are reporting they are unable to pay the office visit fee incurred after their second session.

Please, make a gift this IU Day to the CAPS Development fund, which provides general support to CAPS including subsidizing counselling fees for students.

We wish to minimize all barriers to accessing mental health resources, particularly for those most vulnerable. Your gift will go a long way toward lowering that barrier and enhancing the services provided by CAPS.

Thank you for your support!
