Help A USMC Vet Create Art that Tells Stories!

From Fetima McCray

As a young black female veteran, I have many stories to tell- stories of adversity, triumph, trauma, and perseverance. It's my passion to secure a space to create literary/visual arts that effectively tell those stories.

More Info

Art is a medium of many emotions- pain, joy, love, hate, awe- every facet of the human experience. Art can manifest the intangible (emotional, spiritual, and mental) into the physical realm in a palatable package for the receiver if done passionately. The creation of physical, digital, and literary artworks can even unleash inhibited emotions and free them from the cages of our subconscious into the open air and other open hearts.

I am on a journey of fully releasing mine through creating works that inspire, galvanize, touch, teach, and (hopefully) bridge interpersonal gaps in the many communities I inhabit. I would love your help accomplishing that mission.

I'd also like to create educational infographic offerings about animals, plants, and bugs for kids (hence, the picture of the shrimp and giraffe).
