I am raising funds for Arezoo and her family after her husband Mohsen lost his construction job due to a bad fall, earlier this year. Since then, they have struggled to support themselves and their two young children.

I recently learned of a family in Tehran, Iran, struggling to make ends meet. Earlier this year, Mohsen, a construction worker, took a bad fall while on the job and was forced out of work. His wife, Arezoo, a housemaid and caregiver for the elderly, has had no choice but to take on multiple jobs while their two young children stay at home. She works tirelessly to pay the rent for their small apartment, cover the bills, and provide food for the family. Due to sanctions and the horrible economy, this family, like many others living below the poverty line, finds themselves barely able to stand on their feet. Arezoo, Mohsen, and their two children are struggling and are too proud to ask for help. Having spent most of their savings on Mohsen's medical treatment, the money Arezoo earns is not enough to keep up with their monthly rent and utility payments or to afford school supplies for their children, aged 6 and 12. Their children do not have a computer for school, making it incredibly difficult for them to complete their work. They have been praying for relief but are out of options and have little support. U.S. currency goes a long way in Iran, and this kind, hard-working family deserves a break. My heart breaks for them. If you can donate anything, it would mean a lot.
