Update #5

Thanks so much for all the donations and the cards. The cards came rolling in and having our daughter read them to Bryan was an extra special moment for them. He definitely felt all the love and knew people were thinking of him.
As we move forward out of our haze we will keep Bryan in our hearts and live purposely for him.
Being together was all he ever wanted and he was surrounded by family and love!
Dear friends of Bryan's parents opened up their home to us and we were able to have a small Goodbye Ceremony there. It was on the lake so we released flowers into the water, had a "letter to Bryan" sacred fire, and ended the night with the most spectacular full moon.
It was truly beautiful.
We hope to keep honoring him in various locations and continue to fill our hearts with memories and keep Bryan close to our children always...
Thanks so much for all the love and support,
Amy

More Info

We are raising money to help support our dearest Amy and her beloved husband Bryan while he fights back against Adenocarcinoma. He has been in and out of the hospital since November from complications from Whipple surgery, where they removed a large cancerous tumor from his small intestines and part of his pancreas. He has now been diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer and the cancer has spread to his liver.

The hope was for Bryan to be able to heal before starting Chemo but the cancer has spread to his lymph system around small intestines and and now his liver. Chemotherapy must begin immediately as this is a rapid spreading cancer.

This cancer is one that “Makes Itself Known” and we have so much love, faith and positivity that Bryan will submit his opponent. Though he might have scars and battle wounds he will overcome!

Update #4

With deep sadness we must tell you that Bryan peacefully passed on Friday evening. He was surrounded by the Conroy, Bruner and Joseph family members as well as his close friends who all stayed with him until the end. Although Bryan's no longer physically with us, his strong spirit continues to live in each of us as we remember him with love and respect for the man that he was to all of us. He will be forever in our hearts. This loss is unreal. It is unimaginable. It is as if the stars and the moon have left the sky.

Update #3

We would like to thank everyone for all their support with Bryan, Amy, and their children at this very difficult time. At Bryan's last doctor's visit, the decision was made to not begin chemo and it is about the quality of life at this time. Bryan is at home resting surrounded by his family and friends. He visits and chats a little in between resting and Amy is keeping him comfortable.
Please continue to keep the Conroy family in your prayers and in your hearts.

Update #2

Some changes since the last update, sorry it's been a while. Because of scheduling, Chemo moved to WED/THUR/FRI. Because of some health changes we have an appointment tomorrow morning before the chemotherapy to discuss Bryan's current health. Losing more weight has been quite scary and worrisome so we are just trying to be prepared, as best we can. The cards are rolling in THANKS!! Tatum reads Bryan the cards and then we place them around the room, It is a nice way for the two of them to have a moment together and a great way for Bryan to feel the love. We also received 2 care packages from the family that were soooo sweet and had lovely gifts that we haven't even thought of getting, Things we can put in his chemo bag like a lollipop, travel hand sanitizer, and crosswords to have for Wednesday since that is a 7 hour day for him in the office. yikes! We are ready with lots of things for him to do now.
Thanks so much for all the prayers, LOVE, and thoughtful messages. It makes for a nice part of our days, which have been very long waiting for tomorrow.

Update #1

Thanks so much for all the LOVE and support! What a beautiful world we live in. Blood work is done and the chemotherapy teaching class is Friday morning. That is the last step we have to follow and then Bryan's first round of chemo starts Monday 1/11. It will be 3 straight days of chemo through a Port line and then a 3-week break. Treatments are in the Texas Oncology office near our house. I will drop him off and it is about a 4-hour process and back home for rest. Doing all this through COVID brings even more challenges, but we are still getting all the care we need and I wait "patiently" outside while he does his visits.
I would love to have Bryan get some old fashioned mail to cheer him up and keep surrounding him with support. Our address is 1421 S Meadows Dr. Austin TX 78758 if anyone is able to mail a card I will hang them all over the house as a daily reminder!
