We have raised nearly 50% of the money and I have more amazing news. It is OFFICIALLY OFFICIAL! I just received the official email from the Berlin School of Economics and Law stating that I have been granted placement in the EIM program. This means that not only will I be in Germany, but I will DEFINITELY be working in the field of entrepreneurship and innovation management. I am ecstatic to say the least. Thank you to everyone who has donated so far. Your contribution is much appreciated and is playing an instrumental role in my life.
In the midst of all of this, I now have 37 days to earn the rest of the money for my trip and I still need your help. If you can contribute money, it is greatly appreciated. If not, shares go a long way as well!
Let's make this happen!
Who is Dante' Johnson?
I am a 2015 Gates Millennium Scholar and current Business Management student at the University of Central Florida (UCF). I was born in Jacksonville, FL to two wonderful parents (and an equally amazing family) who have busted their butts, still to this day, to provide for my two siblings and me. From as earlier as my family can remember I have had a love for learning and furthering my education. My mom and grandmother, who was my first teacher, often remind me of the time where I (a third grader at the time) told them that I was "bored in class" and needed "more hard work". My search for more hard work continues, but this time it is about the hard work of entering spaces that are uncomfortable to facilitate growth. Overall, I am a young man who has been inspired to seek better for himself through the tough lessons of stepping outside of his comfort zone.
Why Berlin School of Economics and Law?
I am currently in my final year of studying business management at UCF. I aspire to use the knowledge and experience I've gained during this time to pursue my dream of being a creative philanthropist. I have been blessed by many people during my time on this earth and I want my legacy to be rooted in those who knew me speaking on how much I served as a blessing to them. I am currently building a clothing brand that draws inspiration from how nature strives to grow to advocate for individuals, especially those in underrepresented populations, being aware of how they are affected by their mental health. Additionally, I am working with UCF's Counseling and Psychological Services offices to create more creative resources for minority students to escape the stigma that receiving counsel is only for people who are "crazy" or "weak". With all that being said, the Berlin School of Economics and Law will be hosting a business exchange for students wanting to study entrepreneurship and innovation. I believe this program will be the perfect opportunity for me to leave my comfort zone and face the challenge of studying in a completely different country to open my mind to the more that this world has to offer. I know that by completing this program I will be better suited to create products and spaces that help minority students and the world grow through self-reflection, self-care, and counseling.
What will your funding be used for?
All donations received will be used solely to cover the expenses of the study abroad program outline by the university themselves. To see the budget outline as well as what the trip entails, please follow the link below:

This morning I completed the process to receive my FIRST PASSPORT EVER! This was possible due to your contributions. Whether it be financial support or the support of sharing this page with your network, it all is much appreciated. This all has only just begun, but it has already been life-changing. I am just an ambitious kid from Duval County, but now I have the legal document necessary to see so much more than the typical city streets.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR LOVE AND SUPPORT!
