Help for DUI victim

Help for DUI victim

From Todd Cherry

I'm reaching out to the crowdfunding community in an effort to help my brother raise money to get another truck. He just got back on his feet and bought a used truck only to be completely destroyed by a DUI driver.

Sometimes life gives you the worst possible hand. I'm hoping to reach out to the community to help my brother (Dan Cherry) who was struck head-on by a drunk driver.

He just bought a used pickup truck from someone to help him with his work and made his final payment to the seller just minutes before being struck.

My brother had his girlfriend follow him in their old truck to make sure the new vehicle would make it back to their place without issues. They almost made it back home but the impact totaled the new vehicle. Also, the sudden impact caused his girlfriend, who was following him to rear-end him, also causing severe damage to their old pickup truck.

The impact caused him severe injuries. He has ruptured some disks in his back, suffered whiplash, had glass embedded in his eye, and trauma to his leg. He had to be care flighted to a hospital from the accident scene. The driver of the other vehicle was arrested for DUI and assault. You can read about the incident here: https://dfwscanner.net/2021/01/15/intoxicated-driver-causes-serious-crash-near-granbury/

Both of their pickups are unusable and they have no way to get around anymore. Also, my brother is having to endure major pain and suffering including loss of wages. I posted some pictures of the damage, and I don't know how he lived through it. The pictures show the new used truck he just bought and the white truck, which is their older vehicle. The drunk driver's vehicle was going over 70 mph and ended up 100 yards down the road after he hit Dan.

This is my first crowdfunding attempt, but If you can find it in your heart to donate some money to help my brother get another vehicle, I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you and God bless.
