A good friend of mine who is a nurse and who has done so much good for so many in her work as a nurse and Creighton practitioner is now in need of assistance. In conversation last night she was sharing all the damage covid has done to her life. She worked with elderly giving nebulizer treatments before covid was on the radar. She got it and nearly died, but she is a fighter. She now suffers with long term and debilitating health issues due to lack of oxygen to her brain. She is in kidney failure. She has been working with front line doctors and they suggested a treatment that her insurance will not cover, but they know will reverse the tissue damage. She is not able to work and has no money from disability to pay for treatment as she is just making ends meet. She did not ask me for ANYTHING. I felt a pull in my heart to ask her if I could pool together help for monthly expenses and she said no...but I know she desires these treatments. She is only 40 and has lots more living left to do. I hope these treatments can help her get back on her feet.
My goal to raise is $5000 which will cover the 40 treatments at $180 a piece.
