Update #14

about 1 year ago

Hi All,

Please find some pictures shared with me by Yevgeniya Avdushkina, Kramatorsk Red Cross Coordinator, showing the deliveries to Kramatorsk hospital you folks have funded last year. Thank you all for your participation! Please continue funding through other channels. I am no longer doing fundraising, since there are plenty of other options out there to do this.

Feel free to donate directly to Kramatorsk Red Cross. You can reach them at Email: [email protected]
Work phone: +380 66 605 9431 (Ukrainian)

During 2022, the Kramatorsk Red Cross:

- evacuated more than 1,000 people;
- delivered 25,000 food kits;
- issued more than 10,000 warm clothes, 5,000 hygiene kits and about 120 sets of bed linen;
- provided 1,500 families with children with food, diapers, and other things;
- took care of 65 lonely elderly people;
- provided psychological assistance to more than 5,000 people;
- supported hospitals with household appliances, generators and provided more than 5 tons of medicine

Despite all the difficulties, dangers and risks to their life, volunteers continue to help those who need it most in this frontline city every day.

Kind regards,

Alex

More Info

Kramatorsk City Hospital #3 is on the front line of the Russian invasion of Ukraine. The hospital is treating Ukrainian soldiers and civilians. Unfortunately, there are significant problems with supplies and logistics due to the brutal actions of Putin's terror and sabotage groups around the country.

Immediate and urgent needs include the following very basic supplies:

  • bandages
  • antiseptics, including Betadine

We expect the hospital to require additional medical supplies and equipment shortly. Still, a complete list is being drafted and should be available on the website within the next few days.

Another problem hospital is facing right now is the logistical delivery of supplies. We plan to help the hospital resolve those constraints and work out a potential solution.

Thank you for helping us raise those funds! We appreciate any help targeting this specific hospital. We are also planning to organize targeted assistance to other hospitals across Ukraine in the nearest future.

*Please note that donations to foreign entity are not tax deductible in US.

Update #13

Once again, I would like to thank everyone who contributed to this fundraiser. You are amazing!

In case you would like to continue supporting Ukraine, I have another fundraiser to help Ukrainian 4th Tank Brigade unit acquire the Starlink RV terminal and improve their communications and battle management effectiveness, which leads to saved lives of defenders.

You can find the fundraiser here: https://fundly.com/supply-ukrainian-defenders-khakriv-izyum-area?fbclid=IwAR2zbCWibYZZr1ejQBRKEQhy9muDQiCrefFmbBWT-K-q6ingHWnjsWH0jh4

The unit will be purchased directly from Starlink and sent to Ukrainian Armed Forces unit.

Thank you for your contributions!

Instead, I am going to purchase the regular Starlink with my own funds as it is not as expensive as RV version.

I had to close the campaign for the Starlink RV, since I could not order one for Ukraine. The RV service is not yet available in Ukraine.

Update #12

Distributed another $400 to a single mother in need, whose house was destroyed by Russian shelling last week. My work now focused toward helping refugees, most of them mothers with children. I am still in Europe working on helping settle some refugees who crossed the Ukrainian border into EU, including my own family and relatives.

Update #11

I am still in Europe dealing with refugees from Ukraine, so really quick update here on fund transfers:

Another $1,000 transfer sent to the traumatology nurse contact working at the Kramatorsk City Hospital #3. Those funds intended to help her survive in the town under siege and daily bombing, while she is treating wounded soldiers.

Additional $500 sent to the Izyum relief agency via local charity contact in town. Izyum is the town next to Kramatorsk and it was heavily bombed in recent fighting, hospital there is totally destroyed. Those funds will be used to help save and transfer patients to Kramatorsk Hospital among other immediate needs.

Here is the report on Izyum hospital bombing: https://news.sky.com/video/ukraine-war-izyum-hospital-destroyed-by-shelling-12560771

Thank you all for your real help!

Update #6

Hello Donors! Quick update today. Looks like the reason "Donate Now" button was disabled is because Stripe had to verify the hospital is not in the Russia-occupied region of Ukraine, since that would fall under sanctions. Since it is not and funds will be flowing through local Red Cross office, I expect Donate button to be unblocked shortly. Thank you for your patience as we get this resolved.

Update #5

Quick updates today:

1. Donate Now button still disabled. Stripe team is looking into it. Hopefully this will be resolved soon.

2. Due to risky delivery logistics, Hospital directed me to their Red Cross representative and I am in direct contact with them now. Money will be transferred to Red Cross local branch in Kramatorsk, they will purchase and deliver urgently needed supplies and hand them over to the hospital.

Thank you for your support!

Update #4

We are aware of the Donate Now button now showing. This is related to delay in Stripe bank account verification. Everything seems to be verified now, so expect the button to show up again shortly. Thank you for your patience!

Meanwhile, you can also donate directly to my pay pal at smirnovas at gmail. I will ensure to record your transaction manually on Fundly. Thank you!

Update #3

Thank you everyone who donated so far! Please don't forget to share, so we reach maximum audience. I am working to resolve the logistical challenges to deliver supplies to the hospital, given the sabotage risk to existing supply routes delivering across the country. I am working with other charity organizations and hospital staff to work out a safest possible solution. Will keep everyone updated as we move forward.
