About a year ago I adopted a rescue dog (Turbo (brown)) and about a month ago I adopted a second rescue dog (Diesel (black and white)). The second dog, Diesel, was trained to fight; he was likely injured in a dog-fight and was thrown out on the street. When I found Diesel he had multiple open wounds and was covered in blood. His back was nearly broken and could hardly walk. I also noticed that the dog had a large cavity on the skull (either he was born with a deformed skull or he was severely beaten up as a puppy). Diesel was intentionally brutalized by mean, sadistic people and, needless to say, he never developed good social skills which consequently resulted in inability to get along with other dogs and people. I have been taking a good care of him and over time Diesel became very attached to me. Unfortunately, he does not get along with my other dog, Turbo. Both have gotten in fights and in order to keep both of them I need to built special enclosures and fences to keep them separated at all times. I have consulted with a veterinarian and she confirmed that due to the skull injury that Diesel has sustained, his brain is damaged and he will not be able to develop good relationship with the other dogs. Diesel has chronic back pain for which he takes mediations, along with special medications regulating his mental state. So far I have spent a lot of money to keep the dogs safe, well fed and taken care of, but sadly I can no longer afford the expensive treatment and proper care. I ask that you help me raise funds to keep taking care of Diesel and Turbo.
