Our sweet former feral cat that we took care of outside for nearly 3 years then finally was able to bring her in and save her. Now she has pancreatitis and we have been financially devastated and need your help.

Sigmund came to use in spring 2015 a terrified feral. We started to feed it and over the next nearly 3 years it came closer and closer until she would eat treats out of my hand and I could pet it. During this time she had kittens which we had to rescue after surviving a viscous dog attack.
Sigmund endured other bully ferals that harassed her daily and all the weather threats including hurricane Harvey. We were constantly worried and running off other mean wildlife.
Finally on New Year's Eve 2017 we saw her chased by a fox and that was it we had to try and catch her and bring her in. Amazingly she survived the fox and we were able to actually pick her up and bring her in.
Since then she has been warming up to us to the point where she is now a lap cat.
All was well with Siggie until early summer 2020. We noticed her slowing down and not eating as much. Then one day she hardly moved and after having to find a new vet (our last one was horrible) we took her and and found out she had pancreatitis and had to be hospitalized. Thus began the fight to save little Sig and our lives went to hell along with our finances. We had just suffered some expensive home repairs and at the same time are incurring some large human medical expenses. Our finances are devastated, savings drained, and the credit card isn't getting paid off for the first time in 10 years. We are extremely stressed and exhausted but we cannot bear the thought of her surviving all she has survived and come all this way from living in a storm drain to sleeping on our laps just to kill her now to save some money.
I am only asking for enough to cover Siggie's vet expenses plus Fundly's 4.9% platform fee plus their 2.9% credit card fee. If we raised this amount it will go a long way to getting us back on stable ground. Our expenses are not finished so the target will go up before this is done. Your generosity will be eternally remembered and appreciated. Thank you very much for your consideration.
