Help Edwina get to the Cape Cod Story Summit. Edwina has already won a Fellowship based on her talent, but she still needs a little more help.

Hello! I wanted to pop in and say that while this page is one way you can show support and donate, I also have other ways you can donate as well. I have a CashApp, Venmo, and Zelle account. If those seem like a more appealing way of donating, feel free to send me an email ([email protected]), Facebook message (Edwina Joe-Kamara), or text (if you have my number haha) so I can give you the links for those accounts. Once again, thank you for all your support!
Each season, the Story Summit gathers award-winning professionals to provide intimate, meaningful and productive relationships with screenwriters and authors in an inspiring, immersive and naturally beautiful environment.
“I have received an Amy Ferris Fellowship, but I am still short of my goal to be able to attend the Story Summit this October,” says Edwina. “I am hoping that the Story Summit will aid in jumpstarting my writing career so I might have a sustainable future. Anything that you could do would be appreciated. Also the donation is made to the Storyteller Foundation which is a non-profit so donors will be able to take their contribution as a tax deduction.”
“Stories change the world. It’s been that way since the beginning of language. Edwina’s story Lily is written with a unique voice. It is a voice that should be encouraged so Edwina’s stories can positively transform our culture,” says David Kirkpatrick, the former President of Paramount Pictures.
Amy Ferrris of the Amy Ferris Fellowship says of Edwina’s work, “Such beautiful writing: moving and tender and I cried. I cried. There is so much beauty in Edwina’s words, in her writing — between the pages.”
Please help Edwina reach her goal to attend the 2020 Story Summit this October!
From the beginning, it was always the word. Through the unique ability to imagine and connect to one another through words, humankind stepped into greatness.
Had it not been for Victor Hugo’s Les Miserables, our hearts may never have known compassion for the poor.
Had it not been for Harriet Beecher Stowe’s Uncle Tom’s Cabin, there may have never have been a civil rights movement.
Had it not been for Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol, A Ghost Story, there may never have been the charitable component associated with the holiday.
We need one another. Had Ernest Hemingway not encouraged J.D. Salinger, there may never have been The Catcher in the Rye
The writer’s life can be lonely, so it is important to connect them with professionals who can support them in their storytelling and a lifetime of stories.
We see people, not writers. We are inspired by their passion and their willingness to give themselves up for their story.
We see equal value in all writers. We are dedicated to improving the lives of every storyteller we work with.
We build partnerships around the world with like-minded dreamers interested in building a better tomorrow through the future of storytelling.
The Mission of the Storyteller Foundation is to elevate the human experience through stories that inspire and encourage.
