Helping Alivia build a road to her future....

Alivia Holmes was 16 years old when a car crash changed her life forever. She lived to dance, but that passion was robbed from her in 2009. Alivia was traveling in a Nissan Altima with her friends Jill, Dina, Lauren, as well as Dina and Lauren’s father, Michael, when they were struck by a 2005 Jeep Laredo. The crash claimed the life of Michael Albertini and left Alivia paralyzed from the diaphragm down. Alivia was in the ICU of Schneider’s Children’s Hospital for three and a half weeks before being moved to Saint Charles Hospital for an extensive period of rehabilitation. Despite all the horrors that were surrounding Alivia, everyone around her claimed that she was and still is a “funny”, “energetic”, and “strong willed individual”.

We are now attempting to raise enough money to buy a van that is handicap accessible. Alivia is now 20 years old and has nothing but love for everything and everyone around her. After going through enough to make someone want to crawl into a hole and hide, Alivia is a pure example of strength and bravery. Please be brave with her.
