AMID PANDEMIC, STANLEY HOLMES KIDS DELIVER HOPE FOR THE HOLIDAYS

This is the second annual Hope for the Holidays - Atlantic City event and the organization is still in the build up phase for acquiring commercial decorations for the event, especially as it grows and uses larger venues. Creating holiday magic for kids involves converting a venue to one filled with wonder. Our post-pandemic economy resulted in half of the sponsorship dollars from the previous year and investing in additional decorations did not make the budget. However, with the organizations arts and crafts activities sidelined in order to comply with safety guidelines, the organization had a wealth of supplies and turned them over to 20 kids living in the Stanley Holmes Village community that knew we were in need of decorations. These children, between the ages of 5-12, with no interaction from this organization, submitted the most beautiful and inspiring decorations anyone would want at their holiday party. They are not only the event guests but they are the decorators in chief for the 2020 Hope for the Holidays - Atlantic City event and their works of art will appear throughout the venue. Any one of them could be the cover of a holiday card and they reflect the innocence and wonder of those who will experience "Magic at Brown's Park" on December 19, 2020. In a role-reversal, these children brought the Hope for the Holidays to event organizers.
