How the World’s 8 Largest Solar Power Plants Work

Solar power plant installation has increased widely due to several significant reasons. These plants provide appropriate energy with low-cost investment. They are more acceptable to people due to their environment-friendly features. Solar systems transfer renewable sunlight energy into electric energy using CHINT Solar Photovoltaic cells.

Do you have any idea about how large a solar panel can be? In this article, you will find information about the world’s largest 8 solar power plants.

1. Bhadla Solar Park, India

This is the largest solar park in the world, located in Rajasthan, India. The total span of this solar power plant is over an area of 14000 acres. This plant has an install capacity of 2245 MW. The plant produces clean, renewable energy as the location, like the dry heat of India’s desert state of Rajasthan, is most suitable for solar power production.

2. Huanghe Hydropower Hainan Solar Park, China

This is the second largest solar park in the world, located in the remote Qinghai province of China. This plant has an install capacity of 2200 MW. The total span of this solar power plant is over an area of 564 acres.

The PV cells like CHINT Solar Photovoltaic cells in a solar plan absorb the sunlight and create energy using the light.

3. Pavagada Solar Park, India

This is the 3rd largest solar park in the world, located in Karnataka, India. The plant has an install capacity of 2050 MW. This plant is spread over 1300 acres of land. The Karnataka Solar Power Development Corporation has developed this solar power plant.

4. Benban Solar Park, Egypt

This plant is in Benban village of Aswan governorate, Egypt. It is the largest solar plant in Africa. The plant has an install capacity of 1650 MW equipped with 41 solar power plants. The Benban solar power plant can power over 4,20,000 households.

The function of a CHINT Solar Photovoltaic is to loosen electrons flow and create electric energy. There are some wires that carry out the current to the destination.

5. Tengger Desert Solar Park, China

This is another one of the largest solar power plants in the world, located in Ningxia, China. It is also known as the Great Wall of Solar and fuels more than 6,00,000 households. It is spread over 1200 km of the Tengger desert in China. The plant has an install capacity of 1547 MW.

The efficiency of a CHINT Solar Photovoltaic in a solar plant depends on the amount of electrical power coming out of the cell compared to the sunlight energy on it. This indicates how well a PV cell can convert one energy to another.

 6. Noor Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates

Noor Abu Dhabi is the 6th largest solar power plant in the world, situated in the United Arab Emirates. This solar energy plant has an install capacity of 1177 MW. It spreads across eight sq km of land and consists of 3.2 million solar panels.

This plant can lower around 1 million metric tons of carbon emissions which is equal to eliminating around 2 lakh cars from the roads.

7. Kurnool Ultra Mega Solar Park, India

This solar power plant is situated in the Kurnool District of Andhra Pradesh, India. It spreads over a land of 24 sq km. This massive complex boasts a solar production capacity of 1000 MW.

8. Datong Solar Power Plant, China

The Datong solar power plant Is located in the Datong district in China. This solar power plant has an install capacity of 1000 MW. It has an additional part of 600 MW under construction.

Construction of  PV cells in solar power Plant

The PV cells such as CHINT Solar Photovoltaic consist of different semiconductor materials. These cells have protective materials in a combination of glass and/or plastics in order to withstand the outdoors for many years. PV cells include PV modules and arrays.

They also contain mounting structures that point panels toward the sun. The PV systems are capable to meet almost any electric power need, small or large.

Conclusion

Over a few years, the trend of installing solar panels on the roof of households has increased. Using solar energy instead of conventional electric energy not only promotes greenery but also saves your monthly electricity bills.
