Joshua & Shyloe Wedding

"KINGDOM SWEETHEARTS FROM THE START"

We met at Howard University as campus students in our church (Washington DC ICC). When first meeting each other in 2013, Shyloe was the lovely dancing nutritionist from Oakland and Josh was the musical techie from Baltimore. Both in love with the creative arts, entertainment, and deep intellect conversation, we quickly became the best of friends and partners in the Faith, raising up in special ways to serve, teach and inspire.

In 2015, Josh moved to California as part of a Cyber Ministry team while Shyloe moved back to San Fransisco helping as a Campus Ministry intern. We stayed in contact and Josh stayed prayerful that perhaps Shyloe was the one. However, in 2016 Josh would leave the US and go to his parent's native country of Nigeria to serve in Lagos. From that moment on, the contact between us (along with Josh's hope) began to fade. But every chance we had to reconnect in Los Angeles, we definitely did! And it became very clear over time that even different continents could not dwindle our appreciation for each other.

In 2019, Shyloe made the brave decision to travel to Nigeria and visit Lagos to see Josh. At the church workshop that weekend, Josh finally stopped wasting time and asked her to be his girlfriend. Of course, Josh had to do this in a slick way through music and dance. Shyloe danced the song, while Josh rapped and two other friends sang. At the end, he broke down the beat and broke out the question. What a day!

That same year, 2019, we moved to Johannesburg South Africa! Here in the Johannesburg ICC we serve as Campus Ministry Interns, and leaders for the Arts, Media & Sports Ministry!

Fast forward to 2021, through ups and downs, and a break to focus on God, the time finally came. On September 18th 2021, Josh got on one knee and asked Shyloe to marry him. To glory of God, she said YES!!!!

Now, we are on our way to that beautiful special day. And pray you can be a special part of it with us!
