Many innocent men are convicted daily for crimes they did not commit. They go through life separated from loved ones and enduring hardships in unfathomable conditions. This suffering reaches beyond the walls of imprisonment and extends to their families, whom are left to deal with the turmoil and debt.

At this time Omar’s family has depleted all funds. We have started this campaign to help his mother raise funds to pay for associated debts from legal fees.

We have to come together as a people and community to stand against the system that often fails us. Any contribution will suffice. No donation is too small and is forever grateful for what is received in prayer. We are not giving up. The fight for justice continues.

Please take a moment to read one of Omar’s most recent reflections.

“Her gait shows that she's never familiar with being in her present location. Degraded from a body search once again. She tries to hide her aggravation behind her facemask, but eyes tell no lies. Four feet away she stands athletically slender at 5'7" with a young lady's frame. My daughter is growing up. My gem was only 3 years old when I was taken from her. Our last big event was Christmas. Our last picture together while free, she stood in my lap. Now she stands strong and assertive on her viewpoint in life. When we do talk it’s a lengthy discourse that leaves us respecting one another. Her mother would definitely call her a daddy's girl.

As we paused in each other’s eyes I began to catch a glimpse of sadness. Having to practice social distance, a hug was only a wish. We sat and talked through a massive transparent partition made out of PVC pipe and tuff plastic. Having no holes, our convo was muffled by other visitors who had to talk loud because of the makeshift divide. My only Child. My reason to remain strong and keep faith. The Most High has granted me solace in keeping her over the years.”

Your aid and prayers are a godsend. Thank You, Brought World FAM and God Bless!
