Katelyn and I love bike adventures, we care about our food system, the humans who make it possible and she just graduated from college. I'm raising funds for an org. near and dear to her heart to celebrate. Help us out!

Thank you so much for your donation! The ride was incredible mile after mile and I can't wait to get back on my bicycle. I felt overwhelmingly loved and supported.
Your donation is going to a great cause. Stay tuned for more adventures by bicycle.
Like so many modern day relationships, we met on the internet. Katelyn and I connected through the website Good Food Jobs. It isn't just a job site, the fine people at GFJ are masterful at building community. Katelyn was the temporary keeper of the Good Food Jobs mascot, a stuffed gnome. A "gastrognome" to be specific. She had the gnome and was hoping for a safe and comfortable crash pad during a trip to NYC. I wanted the gnome to accompany me on my own, upcoming food adventures to photograph and share on the GFJ website. I was happy to provide the crash pad. We've been good friends ever since.
This campaign is a cycling labor of love and friendship. Since our first meeting, Katelyn has inspired me, her friends, family and community with her commitment to food and environmental justice. We share a passion for riding bicycles, taking the long route and measuring our wellbeing by the wellbeing of our community as a whole. Our friendship, and work in the food system have criss crossed in New York, Vermont, Latin America, Italy and the Midwest.
Four years ago, I had the honor to accompany her during her first week at Green Mountain College and recently, visited her for some of her last weeks before graduation. She is officially a graduate after May 19th and is going out into the world to make a big impact. Meanwhile, I signed up for my first long bike ride across Wisconsin and saw the opportunity to celebrate her by giving to a cause we both believe in.
Your donation will support the work of Migrant Justice in Vermont. Katelyn chose them as the recipient of this fundraising effort for their incredible work organizing immigrant farmworkers throughout Vermont who deserve fair wages, humane living conditions and fundamental human rights. Your donation will also keep me pedaling this August, mile after mile, through beautiful Wisconsin farm lands.
