Kat Shirley fundraising for March For Reparations: Fund the Black Power Blueprint

About Me

My name is Kat, I am a member of USM in San Diego, as well as a college student and a veteran. This movement, and the task of paying reparations to African people is incredibly important to me. As a white woman, I know that the opportunities given to me are at the expense of African and colonized peoples. I feel it is my duty to use my privilege as a white woman to fight for reparations. it is my duty to fight for an end to colonialism. It is my duty to fight for the true liberation of all colonized people around the world. This march and these donations are for me to truly step into that promise. Help me raise these funds to go directly into the Black Power Blueprint to help build BLACK POWER. African people are owed reparations. They are owed the right to determine their own lives and their own resourses. Help us change the narrative of history.

This is what reparations looks like

The March for Reparations to African People is a major fundraising campaign to raise $20,000 (at least!) in material solidarity with the Black Power Blueprint - a St. Louis-based program that functions as a blueprint for black-led self-determination and empowerment in cities across the U.S. and world.

THIS is what reparations looks like! Reparations for the Black Power Blueprint.

The Black Power Blueprint is a black-led, anti-colonial, anti-gentrification program. It is led by the African working class, building their own political and economic power over their communities and resources.  The Black Power Blueprint is acquiring abandoned, dilapidated buildings, and initiating a rapid process of restoration or demolition to create black community-led, self-reliance programs that uplift the residents and engage them socially, politically and economically in the future of their community.

For white people, the stand of material solidarity with the Black Power Blueprint is a stance of reparations, acknowledging that the social wealth in the white community has come at the expense of colonialism, enslavement and oppression of African people and theft of their resources.

The stand of reparations for the Black Power Blueprint is a stand against police violence, mass incarceration, genocide, colonial poverty and all other forms of injustice and oppression. It is a stand for justice and reparations for African people, the only way that genuine peace for all humanity will be possible.
