About The Team
KPMG’s Detroit office has partnered with United Way in sponsoring this year’s “Meet Up, Eat Up, and Read Up” block parties throughout various communities in Detroit. As part of this initiative, KPMG in Detroit and KFFL have committed to providing 500 books at each of the seven block parties that we will participate in. Additionally, we have committed to hosting book reads at local elementary schools and providing new books to every student.

The KPMG Detroit Mission
This summer, our Detroit KFFL chapter has partnered with United Way in sponsoring this year’s “Meet Up, Eat Up, and Read Up” block parties at which children from 7 different communities in Detroit will benefit from our donation. Our promise is a significant one – that we will raise enough funds that will allow us to purchase and distribute 500 books to the children in each of the 7 neighborhoods.
Additionally, we have committed to hosting book reads at local elementary schools and providing new books to every student, so that each child can have one or more books to add to his/her own personal library.
In order to accomplish this goal, each of our 14 teams will work to raise funds totaling $2,500, for a grand total goal of $35,000.
