My name is Anna Lazzaro. I am a hardworking gal trying to get on my feet again and move on to the next journey in life. I miss having my emotional support cat with me in along with stable housing. I am moving to Nashville from Knoxville after over 2 years of barely scraping by in the area and couch-hopping for 6 months now. It's gotten to the point where I found myself working 1 full-time job, 1 part-time job, and various other small jobs to get by while burning myself out in the process.
The main reason I’m moving is I have a new job with Amazon in the Nashville area that I will be starting June 12th. In addition to that, Nashville will have more opportunities for as a freelancer. I am very thankful for the projects that I’ve worked on in Knoxville that have helped me advance in the industry, but it’s time for me to move onto a bigger industry. Finally, I’ll also be transferring my part-time job to a different location out there where I’ll be working 1-2 days a week. Finally, I’ve been able to find more available 1 bedroom apartments that I can afford on my own in the Lebanon/Mt. Juliet area compared to Knox County.
In addition to working various jobs, I’ve been working with a variety of different specialists to help me get my chron's disease into remission and to prevent fewer hospitalizations for it. I’ve had quite a bit of medical debt from periods where I didn’t have health insurance that I’ve worked hard to take care of on my own so I could keep seeing certain medical providers.
For housing, I’ve already found an apartment that I’m doing the final paperwork for, but I do need help with the deposits. In addition to that, I don’t have a bed, couch, air mattress, or futon to sleep on. I have medical conditions that make it very difficult for me to sleep on the floor.
Moving is not an easy process and anything you can give or contribute will be greatly appreciated. I’m working as much as I can until June 10th with three of my jobs currently as well. I am thankful for my friends who have allowed me to temporarily stay with them, so I haven’t had to live in my car.
All the donations will be used to help me secure housing, basic furniture, outstanding medical costs, food, and moving costs. If I have anything left over that I don’t use, I’ll be donating to it a local, non-profit charity for the homeless in the Nashville area.
