Tarara Winery, Lightfoot Restaurant, and Fabbioli Cellars have custom designed several enticing experiences to be awarded to the top three *individual donors to Legacy Farms' online fundraiser, going on now through the end of October!

Loudoun County business-owners are the best in the world! They create distinctive offerings for the Northern Virginia area AND support organizations like Legacy Farms in bringing our work to community members with Autism. We couldn't do this without them, and we can't do it without you!

Without further adieu... Here are the experiences you can win if you are one of the Top Three individual donors to Legacy Farms' online "Keep Legacy Farms in Bloom!" campaign, ending this month!

The Tarara Experience

(Awarded to Our Top Individual* Donor)

You and eleven of your most interesting and fabulous friends will enjoy a custom-curated Premier Tasting in Tarara Vineyard’s private tasting room. You will taste through a selection of their flagship Single Vineyard wines as well as some of their acclaimed varietal wines.

This will all be done in the upscale setting of the private dining area in the Great Room of Tarara. The tasting will be led by one of Tarara’s lead tasters (or by winemaker Jordan Harris if reserved when he is available) in varietal specific Riedel stemware for an educational and fun experience.

Included in this experience are vouchers for a set of Tarara’s double magnums ( of four bottles each) including their 2015 Nevaeh White, 2015 Bethany Ridge White, 2014 Nevaeh Red 2014 Tranquility Red. A total value of $1,170!

The Lightfoot Experience

(For Our 2nd Highest Individual* Donor)

Enjoy an evening of fine dining for four guests at Leesburg's most beloved restaurant, featuring inspired culinary creations by one of the area's top chefs.

Throughout the growing season, Lightfoot has supported Legacy Farms by designing creative dishes with the produce, herbs, and flowers that our participants have helped grow and deliver to their doors.

This experience includes an elegant, yet relaxed dinner for four with each guest’s choice of appetizers, a bottle of chef-selected wine, dinner, and dessert...all in the beautiful ambiance of Lightfoot restaurant.

The Fabbioli Experience

(For Our 3rd Highest Individual* Donor)

Gather with five of your favorite friends at Fabbioli Vineyards for an afternoon of Something Special! The Fabbioli team and New Ag School are neighbors to Legacy Farms and have been enthusiastic supporters of our program.

You and five guests will enjoy a delicious, fun, and unique wine tasting experience that begins with a seated tasting of 7-8 wines paired with gourmet food bites. You’ll also go on a vineyard or production tour, and have time to linger over complimentary glasses of wine with souvenir wine glasses to take home!

* "Individual" means single person or family contribution, as opposed to a pooled group, corporate, donation.

More About This Annual Fundraising Campaign

Managing the garden and instructing individuals with Autism is our primary focus and talent… not fundraising. So, you don't often see us actively seeking donations. And yet, our organization requires funding to continue offering programs, to sustain itself, and to grow! We are reaching out to ask for your support so that we can keep our efforts focused on managing the garden and serving families with Autism.

This year we revamped our core program, Flourish & Grow, and established partnerships with Lightfoot Restaurant, Loudoun Hunger Relief, local retirement homes (and more) so that our participants had real-world deliverables for their work.

This Autumn, we are building and organizing the garden with the assistance of Young Men’s Service League (Ashburn Chapter). Over the course of several weekends in October, we will construct sturdy garden tables, plant blossom-producing perennials, make structural upgrades to the pergola and compost area, and clean/organize the garden for winter.

In Winter, we will focus on organizational refinement and program development for 2019, and by Spring we will have planned and planted seedlings and garden starts in preparation for participant arrivals to our program. To do all this, we need your help!

"Keep Legacy Farms in Full Bloom!" is our main fundraiser for the year...and the best way to support our ongoing efforts.

Legacy Farms is a small, mostly volunteer team providing garden training and foundational work skills support to teens and adults with Autism. Our participants are your community members! They need extra support to gain work skills and land jobs they are excited so that they too have an opportunity to give back to the community.

Your tax-deductible contribution will support the development and sustainability of our program, the garden, and our organization’s ability to serve community members with Autism.

Note: If you would prefer to donate directly or discuss options for larger sponsorships, please email us [email protected]

A special "thank you" to our apprentice who created this Legacy Farms video. See her work: https://myviewfrommylens.wordpress.com/

Update #2

Look at these beautiful hydrangeas! Legacy Farms will be using money from this fundraiser to purchase Limelight (left) and Vanilla Strawberry (right) bushes to be planted on the outside border of our garden fence this fall. They are perennials and will reappear in late Spring, offering beautiful summer blossoms that allow us to expand our floral "market." During our summer program, we'll provide instruction on how to care for, grow, harvest, and arrange the hydrangeas for delivery. And participants will be paired with community businesses, food banks and retirement homes to cultivate relationships! This is how we grow our garden and our community. Thanks for your support!

Update #1

We'd like to take a moment to thank Young Men's Service League (Ashburn Chapter) for their support! Their contributions will be used to expand our flower garden by planting hydrangeas this Fall, as well as building garden tables and adding a much-needed roof to our pergola during an upcoming weekend joint service project. They've come to the garden on several Saturdays already to lend helping hands!
