Legal Defense Fund for Kenny Singleton

Update #1

Happy Mother's Day! Thank you so much to the two people that donated and the many that shared! I just wanted to post an update. Basically, we don't have the extra money for a lawyer and we had some paperwork that needed to be filled out and returned to the court. So, I did my best filling it out and have been looking up legal aid. It's just difficult with Kenny's schedule, he's so busy working and it's impossible for him to take off.
So, we've spent about $25 sending certified mail for the paperwork that we had to fill out. I think if you donate to something or someone, it's nice to know how the money is being used.
One really great thing that happened is my family gifted my Grandfather's old Lincoln to me and now we have a second vehicle and Kenny loves it so much, it's awesome to see how happy it makes him. We are taking it to my family's shop tonight to get it looked over and tuned up this coming week, so fingers crossed it doesn't need anything too expensive.
The picture attached is the letters that we paid to send out. I blacked out the lawyer's name because it's the lawyer of the other person.

Thank you all so much!!

More Info

Kenny is one of those people that everyone has a story about, he has the biggest heart and would do anything for anyone. He's also one of those people that would sooner go without than ask for help. We all love our families, but the love he has for his family is like nothing I've ever encountered before. He has literally lived out of his car while working two jobs to make sure his children did not go without. His divorce has been especially hard on him, financially and emotionally. Not that you would ever know by looking at him, because he would never complain or ask for help. Before I go on, I want to make it clear that this is not an attempt to slander anyone. I'm simply doing this because we have exhausted every option available to to us. He has no idea and never would've let me make this page if I asked him.

So obviously, I didn't ask him! But I am asking all of you, please give what you can so that he can afford the legal defense that he needs to finally put this part of his life behind him. Currently, he is behind on rent, his vehicle has been repossessed, we got an extension on our electricity bill after receiving a cut off notice, we have sold anything there is to sell, my family has helped us as much as humanly possible (and for that I am beyond grateful), he is working as much as possible, but because of garnishments, his checks aren't even bringing in $100 sometimes. Recently, because of an accident at his primary job (he has never worked less than 2 jobs), he was unjustly terminated. Thanks to persistent coworkers and him never giving up, it was determined he should not have been let go and was brought back this past week on night shift. So, the very little income he did have was gone.

This past Friday, he was served with paperwork from an old debt that although was not his originally, he was left with as a result of the divorce and he is not able to include in bankruptcy. This time, his freedom is on the line if we do not resolve this debt OR preferably, afford a lawyer to finally straighten out the incorrect amount of child support and debt that is being garnished from his check. He has so many medical issues from all the stress and amount of work he does on no sleep, I worry for his health every day. I am just asking you to think of what you would do for your family and imagine that no matter what you did, you just fell further behind.

I know that Kenny would do anything he could to help another person, not just friends or family and never ask for anything in return. He needs help and I can't stand by and watch the person I love most struggle the way he does anymore. So please, help me help him.

If we are lucky enough to receive the funds, we will post paperwork and receipts to show what the money is going to. I have been purposely vague about the legal details, but if you have specific questions, please send a message. I have never done this before and don't really know what all I should and shouldn't include, so any help is appreciated.
