Making dreams a reality- Publishing my first book

I am a disabled woman combat veteran of Operation Enduring Freedom 2002-2003. I wrote a children’s book that I am trying to raise money for the publishing phase. All proceeds of the books sold will go to a nonprofit of my choice that is providing equine therapy to veterans free of charge. I want to be able to allow as many veterans to experience the benefits equine therapy. 22 veterans a day commit suicide and in 2009 I was almost one of them. The VA had convinced me that I was too broken to do anything. What I didn’t know at the time that there are several adaptive sports organizations out there willing to help. I have found horses help me more. I have unlocked more of my trauma therapy working with them than sitting in an office. My hope is to help bring the number of veterans committing suicide reaches zero.
