As the title of this description reads, positive change is here, and here to stay. I was recently promoted to "customer" by my most recent employer. Well into a year of being with this company, I was extremely stressed, overworked, and exhausted. My manager happened to be one that wanted control over everything. He "played" HR for so many years until I filled the seat. In the beginning, it didn't seem odd that payroll reported to the Chief Operating Officer of the company. He explained the reasoning for this as being situational, and a temporary fix. A year down the line, I realized that I was being held back.
My goal is to build an empire. A solid portfolio of companies that are somewhat interconnected, but not totally dependent on each other to make revenue.
Prior to many events, I already planned on starting and launching my own HR consulting firm. Not because I wanted more control over my life (and this is important to me), but because it is my desire to grow, and grow professionally. In this stage of my life, I refuse to be held back because of someone's pride and ego.
MDT will also establish a mentorship program for young adult African boys and men (ages 14-21) and prepare them for the next level of their lives.
